Hello, everyone! Jennie McGarvey back with you again and I'm so excited for yet another opportunity to share with you all pages I created with the Saturday Mornings collection!
After I had created my first couple of projects with Saturday Mornings, I was left with some cool scraps that I knew still had the opportunity to be something great. Rather than throw them out or even put them away, I got to work straight away creating this first page.
Pink isn't a color I use predominately in my scrapbooking, as my pages are, more often than not, masculine in nature. However, the pinks in this collection were too pretty to pass up, so I knew a dog layout was in order!
Even better? (What's better than pretty colors and using up scraps on a page?) I was able to combine brads from older collections (Midway and Cakewalk) to give the page some dimension. Not only that, these great brads reignited my love affair with brads!
After thinking on it a bit, I wasn't ready to put Saturday Mornings away just yet. I thought on it a little further and was thinking about how the lovely shade of light blue in the Orange Juice would be perfect for a SNOW page!
Aren't those pretty as delicate snowflakes? I thought so too. I wanted to keep the focus on the photo + die cuts, so I went nice and simple on the title as to not distract from the more important part of the page.
Like I mentioned above, I'm kind of into brads and that spilled over here on this page. Still working with the same Cakewalk and Midway brads as they were pretty irresistable AND matched this layout well.
Thank you for checking out my pages. What elements from the Saturday Mornings collection are you loving? Have you worked with it yet? Please share, I know we'd all love to see! I'll be back next Friday for one last share with the Saturday Mornings collection -- I hope you'll stop by, too!
