We {heart} Laura Williams!

And here is another card she made using Modern Homemaker and the chipboard sticker percolator. I have the same image that I made into a magnet hanging in my office. It's just so stinkin' cute! Thanks Laura for the inspiration!

And as I mentioned last week...it was supposed to be "unfortunate Christmas sweater" day here in the OA office. I'm really the only one who is unfortunate looking today. Nice! Actually I can't blame them, because they are all working their hardest to put on a stellar CHAW show for all of you! Ugly sweaters aren't quite as important. :) You've gotta love our Charlie's Angels pose here...it's such a Christmas classic! LOL!

Hope you had a fabulous weekend!I finished up my Christmas shopping, got the Christmas cards in the mail and even got a lot of work done! Time to take a few deep breaths and relax. I love the feeling of being able to take some time before the holidays to reflect. It's such a beautiful season. And speaking of beautiful...would you look at this layout by Karen Grunden our Guest Designer for the month of December?!

I love how she has an interactive element that allows you to "open" the front and peek inside the house. My kids would think this was the greatest!

Hi friends! The Santa's Sack Sale is officially sold out for the second week's box! Don't you worry though, if you have missed out on our first 2 boxes...there will be a new one this Friday!

I am in the mood to make some holiday cards today, and when I cam across this little deer I thought I just had to share it here! That little fawn with his red shiny nose is just the cutest, the fact that he is fuzzy brown felt is just icing on the cake! Thanks Amy Heller for sharing it!

Valerie Bishop made this darling layout using Modern Homemaker! I love how feminine it all is. This patterned paper could not be any cuter with her photo of her bowls!

And one more beautiful Christmas ornament found at 2 Peas! Jing Jing shows off her serious paper crafting skills here with this very time consuming project! She says she used a styrofoam ball for the center and pinned all of the rosettes to it. How cute is this? Oh my...inspiration overload! :)

I am ashamed to admit that I haven't made any of my Christmas cards yet. I don't have a photo taken to send out...and time is running out! Do you think people will mind getting them for say...New Years? It might have to happen...seriously! Hope you have a great afternoon!

Happy Monday everyone! I wanted to share another layout today by our guest designer this month Karen Grunberg. She uses the Modern Homemaker line here to make this beautiful little snap shot of her son's personality.

The journaling reads: "My little boy, you’re quite adventurous. You’re willing to try and explore everything. David’s toys and clothes are all exciting to you. So are new foods and places. But this openness generally only lasts for a few seconds. Sometimes so short that I can’t even captures it in film. So I was very happy to capture this brief moment of joy you had when you put the baseball cap on. And then it was off, of course." Such a sweet layout about her little one!

By the way, if you are interested in a Santa's Sack Sale box...they are almost gone for this week! Get one while you can! :)

OA Love!

I hope you are having a beautiful morning! I am feeling inspired today. The sun is shining here and there is a fresh blanket of snow covering the ground making it look like glitter was sprinkled all over the top of it. So pretty..even though it's only 7 degrees outside, at least it's beautiful to look at from inside! :)

It is my privilege to share some OA love with you today from Georgia Keays. This is one of the cutest projects I have ever seen using our Modern Homemaker "It's Suppertime-C'mon in!" die cut paper. Seriously! Her journaling and title refer to the way her husband announces he's home at night. I thought that was so sweet. She layers our stickers and papers like a pro! I think this is pretty much perfect!

And here is a layout by Johanna! The way she adds a touch of spray ink and those handmade banners scattered here and there is darling. Thank you so much for sharing this!

Also, a small update on the Santa's Sack Sale...we are nearly sold out so if you "need" one of these cute boxes...get it while you can! I only have a couple left!

Sharing some love...

I have been seeing the cutest October Afternoon projects all over the world wide web lately. Thought I might share a few things today. I found this darling layout on 2peas this morning by Katie Rose. Her photos steal the show here and I love how they almost look like they are jumping across her page, just like her title implies. Perfect! :)

I love this! I found this one posted by Renata TW also on 2peas and just had to share it here. I think the use of yarn twine here is so creative. I love how in the bottom right corner how she strung a few stars and shells together to make a little garland. It's so pretty!

And a few cards by Charity Hassel too! This fun star shaped card uses our Schoolhouse line.

And look at her roller skate card! What a creative use of our Modern Homemaker line!

It's been frosty here in our neck of the woods...16 degrees to be exact right now! It's getting me in the mood to work on my Christmas card design for this year. Seeing that my parents are currently driving here for Thanksgiving...I think they might have to wait for a few days as I will be totally occupied with spending every last minute I can enjoying their company. Hope you are staying warm and cozy!

Carolyn's card inspiration!

With all of the holiday treats we will be baking (and eating) all season what's not to love about the clever card using the Modern Homemaker collection?!  

Musings from the October Afternoon office...

Let me start this post by saying that we can and will be bribed by candy. We're generally not too picky about what kind of candy. Dan in customer service however is the candy KING. He prefers Jolly Joes (the grape Mike & Ike's.) He has informed me the only place you can acquire these purple candies is from the Dollar Store here in Apple Valley. Needless to say they are a hot commodity! We thought it would be fun to steal his stash and leave a ransom note the other day.

He really needs a bigger drawer for all the candy he stashes here!

He came back to work and reached for his stash the next morning. (Insert evil grin here.) We finally confessed. We returned his stash...and all was good again in the candy king's world. We are easily amused! :)

Onto the scrappy stuff now! Today we have a card to feature by Designer We Love Laura Williams. I saved it for today because I like the word "swell" and Friday together. :) Wouldn't you agree?

She uses the Modern Homemaker line and that super cute Felix the cat clock chipboard piece here, so cute!

The next project is another layout by Designer We Love Lexi Bridges called "The Find." She found this awesome vintage typewriter for $5 and made a layout about it. I love the splatter paint/ink she adds, and those sweet Thrift Shop rub-ons peeking out from behind the photos.

At the top of her project you'll see she has some circles of ink. Lucky for me I have scrapbooked with Lexi more than once and have gotten to watch her in action. She makes those fun circles by spraying her spray ink into the lid that comes with it and then stamps the lid onto her cardstock. The result is a little bit like a stamp, but irregular and fun.
