Hello again! Kelly Xenos here with my next project as your July Guest Designer. Today I want to share with you a pocket pages spread I put together with the Summertime collection.
This 12"x12" spread is documenting a day in Chicago with my brother, mom and husband. I love using pocket pages because they are so easy to put together. I am creating weekly pocket page spreads this year so this will be an insert in my week of June 15.
We took the train into the city and I wanted to include our train tickets in the spread but with this style page protector, I did not not have any 3"x4" pockets. So I used my sewing machine to create a smaller pocket out of one of the 4"x6" pockets. I then added the WE WERE HERE card from the Blue Skies piece of paper so I could add the date.
To tell the story of the day I used tags and number stickers on each photo, and then on my journaling card I wrote a little about each photo using the corresponding number.
To create my journaling card I cut the patterned paper Backyard Lights to 4"x4" to fit the pocket and adhered a Memory Card to the top. I stamped the label with the Summer roller stamp and added Daily Flash letter stickers to spell out Chicago. Those letter stickers are awesome!
Here's a closer look at the completed journaling card. Love adding puffy stickers to finish everything off!
Thanks for stopping by and I will see you next week with another project!
