Hello again! Kelly Xenos here with my first project as your July Guest Designer. Today I want to share with you my layout documenting our first strawberry of the season from our garden using items from the Summertime collection.
I am loving the 6"x12" layouts lately. Sometimes a 12"x12" layout can be be overwhelming for me if I don't feel like I have enough stuff to fill the space. I feel this size was perfect for my enlarged photo and all the elements I wanted to include along with my story.
I started this page with a 6"x7" photo adhered to a piece of 6"x12" white cardstock. I used a strip of the Swimming Pool patterned paper that had the word STRAWBERRIES in red for my title. It was just too perfect for this page! You could use this idea for any of the highlighted words on the paper. I added the HELLO directly above using the letter stickers which I also used at the top. Love those!
For my journaling I adhered a few of the 3"x3" memory cards to the top and then ran the page through my sewing machine to add some stitching. The Sweet Summertime was cut from the top of one of the cards and I used a couple puffy hearts along with the 'heart this' stamp to tie the cards together.
And finally I added the three puffy strawberry stickers from the Pillow Puffs sheet to the Fresh Fruit patterned paper. I just love the dimension those stickers give!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I'm loving this Summertime collection for documenting my summer stories!
