Hey everyone! Roree here with some Tuesday inspiration.
I love to look for inspiration in all sorts of places, but one thing in which I am consistently inspired by is quilting. It is a craft I would love to learn (it's on my bucket list, for sure!), but until that time I will keep letting it inspire my paper creations.
I found this image on Pinterest, and I instantly fell in love:
Such wonderful colors and pattern, don't you think?! It immediately got my creative juices flowing!
I pulled out my Public Library supplies and got to work to create this card:
I cut multiple 1/2 x 1 1/2" strips of patterned paper and adhere them on a scrap paper panel in a braided fashion, alternating the patterns.
I trimmed the top, bottom, and sides of the panel for a clean look. I then added some machine stitching before adhering the panel to the card front.
I finished the card with a few simple embellishments to finish, leaving the braid pattern to take center stage on the card.
The pattern was really easy to put together, and it is perfect for using up your scraps!
I hope you enjoyed today's inspiration piece and my project. If it inspires you to pull out your OA supplies and do some creating, make sure you post your project in the OA gallery so we can all oooh and aaah over it. Thanks so much for stopping by!
