Hey everyone! Roree here with today's Thursday sketch!
Playing around in Photoshop, I came up with this:
The size/shape works for an 11 x 8.5" layout or 5.5 x 4.25" card, although you can easily adjust it to work with a square shape.
I pulled out my new Public Library goodies to create this card based on the sketch:
I covered the card front with paper from the 8x8 Paper Pad, then add another strip of patterned paper and strips of Border Stickers along the bottom of the card. I added a Doo-dads die cut above the strips, along with a pennant Shape Sticker and Mini Market Alphas along the top.
I knew right away that I want to use the Alpha Stickers in place of the rectangles/photo slots for my sentiment. But because the letter stickers were different sizes, I offset them to work within the space. I added a Chip 'n Stick chipboard sticker and Designer Brad to complete the sentiment. I then finished the card with some machine stitching and some baker's twine from my stash.
Don't you just love this new collection?! I think it is simply awesome!
I hope you enjoyed today's sketch and the sample I created using it. If you get a chance to play along, don't forget to post your project in the OA Flickr group. I can't wait to see how you interpret it.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
