Happy Monday! :)
It's Laura Craigie here today and I have a simple and fun challenge for you.
The thing with having only boys (and three of them at that) is that all my scrapbooking is boy themed, which I'm totally okay with! But the thing is, at heart I'm a girly girl! So for me, cards are my ultimate girly release. I love making feminine cards! So I'm asking you to join me in that, and pull out your pinks, your scallops, glitter, bows, and all things girly.
I pulled out lots of goodies from my Daily Flash Girl Talk, as well as some buttons, and pink trim from Travel Girl. I grabbed some kraft cardstock and made these two girly, cute cards.
Even though the cards are different sizes and orientations, they follow the same general design in that I made them with two different patterned papers, and put the sentiments on top. Next it was as simple as adding a few embellishments. Then to step it up even more for my second card I used a circle die to create a window in the card. I added a label sticker and a tin pin to the inside of the card to fill the window up. I love making cards with little windows like that, it's just an unexpected fun detail to add.
By cutting out the window I also gave myself a perfect spot to tie the ribbon bow around the small section of the card.
Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you feel inspired to create a card or project with a girly/feminine feel. If you do, please share them in the October Afternoon Flickr Gallery.
