Hi everyone, Mou here with today's post.
As the Holiday season approaches, I find myself getting stressed and overwhelmed with my kid's rehearsals, concerts, shows, giftmaking, house cleaning, shopping and more. At that point, it usually helps if I can keep things simple. With so many beautiful products out there, it is possible to get overwhelmed quickly with holiday crafting. So I challenge myself to limit the number of products to get some actual crafting done. For example, today's challenge is to create a holiday themed paper craft using 1 stamp, 2 washi tapes, and 3 patterned papers. And here's the card I made:
These are the products I started with:
Silent Night Merry Mouse StampSilent Night Chalkboard Wonderland washi tapeSilent Night Eight Tiny Reindeer washi tape
Let It Snow, Sleigh Ride, and Carol of the Bells patterned papers from the Silent Night 8 x 8 paper pad.
Today, I have Laura playing along with me. Laura used the Silent Night collection as well and made this gorgeous card
Laura says: "My favourite part of challenges is that they push me to create and always provides a perfect jumping off point which what I usually need to get going. Mou's challenge was so fun and I almost followed it perfectly, then I snuck a little brad onto the card for good measure. ;) Since I had the card done when I decided to add the brad I just snipped off the prongs and added it with a glue dot instead so the prongs don't show when you open the card. The inside of the card is rather fun in that the sentiment tag is attached to the inside of the card, but fits perfectly through to the front of the card. Thanks for the fun challenge Mou! :)"
Thank YOU Laura :)
Hope you'll play along too and share your creations with us on the October Afternoon Flickr Gallery.
Just remember to keep it simple this Holiday season :)
