Monday Challenge: Pinterest-Inspired!

Hello OA readers, Danni and Amy here with you to bring you another Pinterest inspired challenge.  We all love Pinterest, the inspiration is endless, so let's use another inspiring "Pin" to create this week.

I found my pin this week on the OA DT inspiration board and can't wait to share it with you.

 

I could be inspired by this one "pin" for several cards, from colors, to design, to sentiments, to banners, to labels, so much inspiration here to draw from.  So, today I created a card, inspired, loosely, by design element and variations of the color.  I chose to use a red block of patterned paper at the bottom to ground my use of woodgrain, yellow and blue.  The new Daily Flash All Boy has so many fun shades of blue, gorgeous woodgrain, greens, reds and yellows, everything ALL BOY and PERFECT for our Daily Flash albums, layouts OR cards for boys/men in your life.

I was very inspired by the pops of white with the circles in the pin and wanted to pop some white around my page with the little hearts to embellish the sentiment

 

 

Aren't these 2 x 2 squares perfect for card sentiments too?  love them with my album and the cards with scraps!

I loved Danni's challenge to use Pinterest to find inspiration this week for our challenge. Pinterest has such an infinite supply of inspiration it's sometimes hard to pick just one inspiration piece! For this week's challenge, though, I found this adorable illustration of this ice cream cone. I was inspired by it in several ways. First of all I think my daughter would agree that, her favorite color, would be ice cream! So, I knew I needed to feature her. Secondly, I loved the white space and the gradation of color and texture in the cone and ice-cream, so I turned to OA's newest mini collection, "Girl Talk" (part of the Daily Flash Volume 1 collection), with it's lovely white washed colors and textures I knew it was an ideal fit!
