Lexi here today, joining you for another edition of Sketchy Thursday! Am I the only one not able to resist a cute notebook, even if I don't NEED another one?
I justify that I can use it to jot down MORE inspiration and ideas and, of course, sketches...
That's the sketch for today. Simple vertical lines along one side with a few sprinkled embellies, three blocks for photos (or whatever you choose) and then the title and journaling along the bottom.
Becky joined me and scrapped the sketch more literally than I did, with beautiful results! Here's what she had to say...
"Lexi's sketch really inspired me! I tend to normally scrapbook with a more horizontal design, so this was a switch for me. I used primarily Woodland Park with a bit of the Farmhouse and 9-5 collections. Lexi actually just snapped the photo of me in my studio this past weekend!"
I love the one photo with the other two blocks of paper layering!
I flipped the sketch on the side and created a card.
Originally I had typed a sentiment on the glassine paper, but it didn't really show up, so I added the little banner piece from the Woodland Park Flower Sack. I threw out the three blocks and instead used two sets of three: three chip buttons and three jewels.
The chip buttons are so sweet and remind me of storybook characters. I sewed them right on the card, along with some trim from Sasparilla.
I hope you have some time this week to grab your favorite OA products and play along! Link us up if you do :)
Have a great Thursday!
