1} Tell us a little bit about yourself: I live in Saint Cloud, Minnesota with my husband Chad and daughters Tacy (11) and Hana (8). I am on the senior design team for Papertrey Ink and also have my own line of stamps and products through them. I do samples and teach some classes for a local craft store, Crafts Direct. I love camping, reading, photography, crafting, and spending time with my family.
2} Tell us about your scrapbook style and how long you have been
scrapbooking? My scrapbooking style is a bit rustic and whimsical. I started stamping back when I was about 12 when my parents gave me a tackle box full of stamps and supplies for Christmas. I didn't start scrapbooking until about 2000 when my oldest daughter was born.
3} Are you a layout person or a card person...or both? I mainly do cards, but really am working on getting scrapbooking worked on for my family albums!
4} What is on your scrap desk right now? Right now there are a number of projects going on for the holidays: tags, cards, and pieces to put together for a December Daily book... I also have been working on a scrapbook from a family trip to Disney World - that was last year.
5} What is your favorite October Afternoon line of paper? I don't have one line in particular that I love - but I am always on the prowl for when new October Afternoon products get my my craft store and I usually buy lots of everything!
6} What can you NOT scrapbook without? kraft paper and white ink :)
7} What is your favorite source for inspiration? I love browsing magazines, blogs, catalogs, Pinterest... collecting inspiration is probably one of my favorite parts of the creative process.
8} Favorite TV show? I love Project Runway.
9} Favorite 7th grade memory? Revisiting my junior high years isn't exactly one of my favorite things to think about...! My family went on a trip about that time, doing the circle tour of Lake Superior and going to Mackinac Island. I have many great memories of that trip and Lake Superior remains one of my favorite places to spend time even now, especially the Minnesota North Shore.
10} If you have a dinner with anyone living or dead who would it be & why? I have working on some family tree research and I think it would be fascinating to have dinner with some relatives that I have never met, but only heard about from family or things I have read.

Here is a project from Heather to start off her time with us...
Hi everyone, I am so excited to spend a little time with October Afternoon this month as their guest designer! October Afternoon is definitely a favorite of mine.
This Sunday my church is having a dinner and I am hostessing one of the tables. I wanted to include a little something special for each person at my table.
I made a little pocket from cardstock that I stitched up the sides with my sewing machine. The snowflake paper is from the Holiday Style line. A simple ribbon, some tinsel, and a beaded snowflake (I got the pattern for the snowflake through Pinterest) dress up the outside of my pocket.
Inside the pocket I put this Christmas prayer that I found by Nancy Brummett. I typed it up on some kraft paper and added some embellishments from Holiday Style miscellany, the buttons, word stickers, and flower sack elements.
Each card is just a bit different and I die sut some additional snowflakes from another Holiday Style patterned paper.
My little pockets are ready to place at each spot at my table and I hope everyone enjoys them :)
See you again next week with another project!
