Good morning OA fans.
It’s Danni here with our Tuesday Tutorial. Today I would like to show you how easy it is to repurpose items found at craft stores, thrift stores, garage sales, clearance racks, you name it. For this tutorial I found the cutest wooden plaques at our Senior Thrift Store for very little money, and while the images were pretty darn cute, they needed some tender-loving care and some BOARDING PASS
So, with visions of an out-going mail clip, dancing in my head, I decided to gather a couple of supplies:
SUPPLY LIST:
- Large Bulldog Clip (found at Staples or any office-supply store)
- Wooden Plaque (found at local Senior Thrift Store)
- Spray Paint in your favorite color (I chose red to go with BOARDING PASS)
- Spray Primer
- Twine
- Buttons and Cards from BOARDING PASS miscellany
- Polyurethane
Let’s get started:
STEP 1
STEP 2
STEPS 3 and 4
STEP 5
STEP 6
STEP 7
So, do you have something laying around that could be repurposed into something fun? Take a look around, you might be surprised. I have found several of these wooden plaques or wooden alterables at our Senior Thrift Store, keep your eyes peeled for these little cuties. Just keep a couple of fun colors of spray paint and spray primer on-hand and you’ll be repurposing projects in no time. If you have been inspired to repurpose something you have on-hand or find in your daily outings, we would love to see them in our FLICKR gallery.
Happy Creating♥!
