Happy Friday, October Afternoon fans! I'm back today to share another layout using Rocket Age with you.
I'm currently addicted to using subtle patterned papers as backgrounds, and October Afternoon's b-sides are perfect for this! I started this page using the b-side of Space Station, and then brought in some contrast by adding a strip of Blast Off along the left. I positioned my photos (one 4x6 from my camera, one strip of 2in prints from my phone) on either side of the divide. I surrounded the photos with small embellishments that supported the theme of my page - the labels stickers and miscellany are perfect for this! Since I had quite a bit of journaling, I typed it on a piece of ledger paper and added it to the top right corner.
The little boy in this chipboard rocket reminded me of Sam, so I couldn't resist using it on this page! The rubber charm sentiment fit right above the space ship, and I finished the page with some buttons and Sam's patient bracelet from his ER trip. Like I said last week, I'm trying to be better about actually *using* the memorabilia that I save - I love the personal touch it adds.
I just got a box with Boarding Pass in it - I can't wait to get into it and make something else to share with you all. See you soon!
