If you are a regular reader on our blog, you will already know our next guest designer... she has been featured here quite a few times already. But, this month, you'll be seeing her a whole lot more. And trust me, you will be wowed! Lets give a warm welcome to Lexi Bridges!
Take a look at this fun layout she created for us...Where do you live?
the Show-Me state (Missouri)
Kids?
yep. two boys, ages 2 and 4.
How would you describe your style?
Hmm...this is a tough one to answer. I don't really know that I have a particular style. I think I'm influenced by the products I'm using, the pictures I'm scrapping or the story I'm telling. I do know that most often there will be some spray ink somewhere and sewing, always sewing.
How long have you been scrapping?
I did a two page layout (my only 2 pager ever) in a class 4 year ago, but I didn't start scrapping passionately until about 2.5 years ago.
What's your favorite OA paper line?
another tough question! I'll say Thrift Shop, with Road Map a close second
What size do you scrapbook?
Any size really. I love variety.
1 page or 2?
oh 1! Two pagers scare me.
Do you make cards?
yep.
Is your scrap area messy or neat?
HA! People reading this who know me are laughing out loud because the truth is I am probably the messiest scrapper there is. I take comfort in the saying "Creative people are seldom tidy." It's true, right?
What camera do you use?
Canon Rebel XTi and Fuji Instax
What is your favorite OA stamp set?
Thrift Shop--typewriter + doily on the same set= perfection
Your favorite ink?
Honestly..? Whatever I can find that isn't dried out. Most often it's Colorbox.
Where do you find your inspiration?
I tend to run on inspiration overload at times. Pretty blogs, things my children say, music lyrics, trips to a thrift store...I think inspiration can be found anywhere. It just depends on how you look at it.
Hand journaling or computer?
typewriter ;)
What's your favorite scrapbooking color?
I really like to use them all. Except purple. I don't know why, but that color and I don't get along well.
What's your most-used scrapbook tool (aside from your trimmer)?
Hands down, my cheap-o sewing machine.
Are you a slow scrapper or a quick scrapper?
S L O W
What's your favorite quote?Give us your favorite tip...
"Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is to live everything. Live the questions”
You do not have to reinvent the scrapping wheel for every layout you create. The earth will not stop spinning because you placed a sticker in the wrong place. Don't stress too much about a hobby you enjoy! The joy is in the memories documented, the act of creating itself.
Lets give her a warm welcome this month! Leave a comment and we'll draw two lucky winners to get a set of Fly a Kite papers! We'll announce the winner on the 5th! Good Luck!
