July Guest Designer: Heidi Sonboul

Well, we told you we were looking for guest designers!  And, today you'll meet Heidi Sonboul, October Afternoon's first guest designer!  We also came up with a new (expanded) Q&A especially for our guest designers - hope you enjoy getting to know Heidi!  Say Hello!  And keep a lookout, we'll be featuring more of her projects throughout the month!

for a fun 16 years

What's your favorite OA paper line?

oooo... I wish I could say them all... but I went wild for the Cherry hill, WeatherVane,Good Cheer,Night Light,HOme town, DayDream,Detours, Road Map, & DUCKS IN A ROW! wait... I think that's all the collections?!  lol you see I love them all!

What size do you scrapbook?

12X12

1 page or 2?

I love doing one paged layouts, because I love trying to put on as much as I can, trying to not make it look crazy messy

Do you make cards?

Yep and I love them :)

Is your scrap area messy or neat? 

NEAT... lol I can't work in a mess.

What camera do you use?

An Olympus E-500 

What is your favorite OA stamp set?

This is an easy one... I LOVE... WeatherVane and Road Map 

Your favorite ink? 

I love colorbox ink, because it give a clean bright image.

Where do you find your inspiration?

everywhere! In books, commercials, and much more!

Hand journaling or computer?

I love to do them both. When my grandmother passed away and I found an old letter I felt her love in the writing. So I always try to hand write my journaling for my boys and family.

What's your favorite scrapbooking color?

ORANGE! I love orange!!!

What's your most-used scrapbook tool (aside from your trimmer)?

My craft knife and scissors. I love doing a lot of paper piecing.

Are you a slow scrapper or a quick scrapper? 

I'm a very Quick scrapper. I try to never over think things and the helps me go fast. I also never use sketches and try to make every layout different!

What's your favorite quote?

I love you from the bottom of my butt, because it's bigger then my heart! lol

Give us your favorite tip...

When scrapbooking ...clear your mind. Put on some music and let it flow. Remember to not over power your photos and keep the color combos clean and happy. Also remember... Journaling is so important!!! I can't tell you how many photos I found from my Grandmother (with other people in them) and no names on the back. If she just put a name on the back... we'd know who the people were.
