Let name some winners!!!

We are thrilled that you guys are all just as excited as we are about our new lines!  A few of you even mentioned seeing the products at some stores and in some kit clubs this month!  Awesome!!

Now for the winners....

I'd use Ducks in a Row to make a mini album for our trip to adopt our daughter from China, which will be this year. I'd use any left for layouts and/or a gift book for my mother-in-law of pics of her first grandchild once we're home and settled with her. Cherry Hill is so bright and cheery and would be adorable for more layouts and/or books showing our daughter adjusting in her new home...and definitely more mini albums for my mother-in-law. I'd love to make some cards from Cherry Hill as well...just love your products!

Goodbye Simple Scrapbooks

A few months ago, when we heard that Simple Scrapbooks was ceasing publication, all of us at October Afternoon were a little saddened... Now that we have the final issue in our hands, we feel it that much more.  We were so surprised and honored to see that final issue features our products on the cover in a beautiful layout by design team member Celeste Smith.  We want to say a big thank you to all of those at Simple who gave us so much love and support over the years... we loved your magazine and we're going to miss you.

New Uses For Mini Album Pages

Design Team member Vivian Masket has a fear of mini albums, but that hasn't stopped her from using up the Label Journal and Scallop Journal Album pages!  She has put together some great examples of  creative uses for the pages inside the mini-albums!

She says that because the pages in these albums have a grid or ledger print, they are perfect for use as journaling blocks. On her "Style" layout, Vivian used a page from the Label Journal Album:

On her "Spring Princess" layout, Vivian used a page from the Scallop Journal Album:

In addition to making great journaling blocks, the album pages can also be used to create unique backgrounds for cards. Here, Vivian used a page from the Label Journal Album to create a fun thank you card.
