Good morning October Afternoon fans! Lexi here to share with you a simple valentine tag using Farm Girl. The Farm Girl line doesn't particuarly scream "valentine", but I think I found a quirky way to make it work.
Here are the supplies I used: Mason Jar, Rose Trellis, Journal Card, Tea Towel Washi, Shape Stickers, button, lace, twine.
First, trim a rectangle of Rose Trellis 2/3 of the way on the cherry journal card. Sew on the lace where the two patterns meet.
Trim the lace and add a strip washi tape below it.
Type (or write) your sentiment on the label sticker. Here's where the bit of quirky comes in ;) Trim out the jar from the Mason Jar paper and layer with the jar sticker.
Sew around the label. You can totally skip this step, but I love the look of sewing and the touch it adds. Tie the twine through the button and add a heart sticker.
While this looks pretty cute...I think it looks even better with an old jar filled with, what else, peanut butter valentine chocolates.
I can think of a few teachers who might enjoy this simple homespun valentine. If you are creating with Farm Girl or making valenintes out of any OA lines we would love to see! Add them to our flickr group or comment with a link below.
Enjoy your Thursday!

hope you are all feeling better soon....

This is a very cute idea! I like the look of sewing on other's projects but mine is so wobbly that it's best to give it a miss. lol
This paper collection is so sweet and works for so many occasions.
Thanks for the inspiration! :)
