Thursday Sketch Challenge

hello everyone!  Danni here with today's thursday sketch challenge.  here is today's sketch:

 

and here is my card inspired by the sketch

beware of black cats card

 

 

 

for my "black cat" i used the new stamps from the Witch Hazel line "Bats and Banners"

 

i stamped it in black ink and then heat-embossed with clear embossing powder and cut out

my shiny, black cat.

 

 

i love, love these chipboard bundles, they are fantastic to work with.  whether you mist, paint, ink or stitch these, they are absolutely FUN.

and here's what jill had to say:

"Danni's sketch works equally well on cards and layouts.  I adapted it for a 12 x 12 layout, replacing the cute hexagons with toothy jack-o-lanterns.  Using a stamp from the Witch Hazel Bats & Banners stamp set, I stamped the image repeatedly with watermark ink, covered the images with a layer of orange embossing powder, and used a heat tool to emboss the images.  I placed a photo strip over the cluster of jack-o-lanterns (it's the same photo, enlarged in a progression to emphasize my witchy self), and stitched some Witch Hazel Chip 'n Stick buttons to the strip.  The area designated for the sentiment on the sketch became the area for my title block and journaling, and at the top and bottom of the layout, I placed strips of patterned paper from the Witch Hazel collection."
