My wife truly deserves a treat from Santa. She makes the most gorgeous stories with her scrapbooking and her card making is loved by everyone around us. But first and foremost she is a devoting mother to our two young daughters so between that and hectic work hours this fall she has not been able to live out her crafting hobby as much as she deserves. Hopefully she can enter the new year with a Santa Sack of goodies and actual time to use and enjoy it.

I am writing for my mom. My sister and I were adopted by my single mom and she rocks. She is obsessed with scrapbook stuff and every time she cleans her scrap stuff we get it. We want to give her a scrap sack because she is the best mom ever and does everything for us. Thank you. Emilia and Claire. PS my teacher saw this and told us about it.

Though my dh (Larry Martin...he forgot to mention my name. lol) nominated me, I'd like to nominate my best crafty friend, Nicolle Kramer. I don't have any friends irl that share my interest, but have found a great friend in her. She's the most supportive and uplifting person I know and always encourages me now matter what's going on. She's not just my super talented teammate on a few dt's, she's a true friend and always there for me. She's warm, caring and has an amazingly BIG heart! Thank you!

My wife, Michelle, deserves this Santa Pack because all she does is craft and make cards for all our friends and family. She is a sheer paper crafting beast! Our living room has been overrun by various papers, ribbons, and embellishments the past week you would think she was starting a mini paper empire. Which brings me to another reason why she should get the Santa Sack-- her passion for crafting is expensive! But I don't mind because seeing her face light up everytime she completes a project makes it all worth it!

Wow! So many well written comments and so many deserving candidates. Times are extremely hard for a lot of people, my family included. My wife, Rosie, is a very loving and caring lady. Scrapbooking helps her stay focused on the positives in life. All I can say is "Please" and "Thank You".

Dear October Afternoon, How kind of you to do this to help a fellow out! So please consider my wife of 25 years Rhonda, sometimes I complain when she shows me her layouts, cards or wants me to read someone's blog but I found a new appreciation this past summer for her work, we held our only child's graduation and 18th b-day party in June and my wife's albums were the hit of the party! Iwas filled with pride when I over heard the guest exclaiming over her work and I realized how lucky we are that we have my wife to record our memories as a family! My wife would greatly and truly appreciate a Santa Sack and it would make up for all the complaining that I did so please help me out! Thanks David

Sophie’s joy will abound, capping off a tremendous year for her in art and craft. Significantly, she has become one of ten Scrapbooking Memories Masters for 2012. Her unique talent, particularly in energetically combining colours, was recognized in her first attempt at this competition. Also, her painstaking foray into handmade craft has taken off with aplomb. Besides art and craft, she brings much needed colour to the lives of my daughter and I; and our broader community. She amazes me by doing all this on top of raising our daughter and building a home. My most deserving soul mate …

My wife Suzanne and I were married 3 years ago and in that time I have learned only one thing... If it's not in the scrapbook, it did not happen! Despite very good Doctors, Suzanne and I have been unsuccessful in adding a new addition to our family. Yet, she remains the strongest and bravest girl I have ever met... and she's cute too :). Although a baby may not be making the scrapbook in the near future, I promise to give her many more picture worthy memories to glue to paper. Assuming that a Santa Sack includes scrap-booking goodies, I hope that its contents find its way into a future masterpiece of Suzanne's... maybe featuring a picture me holding Call of Duty 3 at Christmas? Love ya baby

I have been in love with my wife ever since I set eyes on her in elementary school. She's always been an inspiration to me. When I lost my job last month, it didn't surprise me that she stepped up to help. I have always felt that it was my job to take care of her and our family, but since I haven't been able to recently, she felt the need to do everything she could to help put food on the table. It really bothers me, but she began selling some of her craft tools like her Cricut and cartridges just to make money for bills. Her birthday is Sunday and it would mean a lot to be able to win her a little something because I know that she wants one of these, but it just isn't affordable for us right now. Thank you for the chance! There are so many other great stories, I'm sure this will be a hard choice!

My girlfriend Michelle fryer deserves to win this Santa pack because all she asked for this Xmas was crafting supplies. She is almost finished with her student teaching and needs Aton of supplies for her classroom. She is a very hard worker and has passion in everything she does, one of which is making and designing greeting cards. She has done so much with her life from being adopted at 6 months old to becoming a wonderful teacher for our next generation. I would love to see the smile on her face if she won this marvelous gift.

I am writing for my wife, MaryAnn. Every year, she does all the Christmas shopping, and since she has NEVER been "thrilled" with anything I have ever bought for her (except for the surprise engagement ring and proposal on Christmas 2005) I always remind her to get herself something she wants - and just make it from me to her - I know - horrible hubby =( but this year, I am hoping I can win her this gift. Not only will she be absolutely thrilled - she will actually have a gift to open this year and one I know she'll love... See, she never gets herself a Christmas gift, so on Christmas morning, while the kids and I unwrap gifts, she is behind her camera taking photos and videos of our family. she tells me that this is her gift - getting to see and capturing the smiles and excitement.
She has gone through A LOT this year - from almost losing her mom early in the year to becoming unemployed. and that's just the gist of it. I love her so much and have had to see her at her lowest points this year. I would love to be able to see the joy and excitement on her face, just as she sees on ours each year on Christmas morning.

My wife, Gayle, deserves a Santa Sack because I was out of work for five months and spent all her money. During this trying time, the new scrapbook shipments that I usually found on our doorstep on a regular basis came to a halt. She resorted to using old scrapbook material from her craft office in the basement. The office that resembles Doc Brown’s mad scientist laboratory in “Back to the Future.” She is a scrapbook maniac but also a great cook. Please help me help Gayle get new scrapbook stuff so I can continue to eat.

So there I am, slightly after 7PM, and still at work, when I get an IM from my special lady friend with a link to this blog post with instructions to leave a comment saying why she should win this prize.
I told her to just type the comment up herself, and she told me that I have to be the one to do it. I rolled my eyes.
I told her that maybe I didn't think she should win! She told me that yes, I do, because she is awesome. Well, I can't argue with that.
My special lady is very deserving of this prize. I know she will put it to good use. She just sent me a picture of a card she made for our friend that is in the hospital. Yesterday she made a card for my dentist, and my special lady friend is actually paying my dental bill! Obviously she is an honest woman, since she wouldn't post this comment on her own, instead making me do it, when I am already staying late at work because I have work to do.
Which reminds me, I should get back to that work!
I just hope she win this prize, which I am told is "over $100 worth of stuff!" She is worthy of any sort of prize, and, frankly, I don't want to have to deal with the consequences if she doesn't win!

My wife deserves a Santa Sack because loves to scrap and is extremely creative with everything she puts together. However, she doesn't have HALF of the stuff that she needs to do more creative stuff. She could afford it if she didn't always put others before herself. Please, please, PLEASE at least throw her name in the hat for a Santa Sack!

I can think of two good reasons why my wife deserves a Santa Sack:
1) She sent me an email with a link to the blog post saying this - "PLEASE enter this for me - October Afternoon is my FAVOURITE manufacturer!!!!" From the 4 exclamation marks I get the impression that she likes your products.
2) She is a hardworking, diligent mother of 2 and has an exceptional talent for scrapbooking. Somehow she manages to run the household and find time in the evenings to create wodnerful pages showcasing our family and adventures. She deserves to know that her husband appreciates everything that she does, and what better way to do it than with a Santa Sack from October Afternoon.

OK, I would really love for my wife to win this Santa Sack as she loves October Afternoon, especially your new Christmas collection. She had it ready to buy and I told her to wait, now she is having a hard time finding 1 of everything. Winning this sack would make everything all better for her [seriously for me] This would make her Christmas. Of course I will never tell her to wait again. Never. She scraps for all our grandchildren all 5 of them and your product in her view makes every page the best page. Thank you.

Dear Santa,
I know my wife will definitely be on your "nice" list. She has been sooooo good this year. I want to ask your help. She really really wants an October Afternoon Santa Sack. She never asks for much (really!) and this would really make her Christmas! The smile on her face on Christmas morning would just be something special. I'm sure she'll make some beautiful cards with the contents, and I bet you she'll give you one of the cards next year when she sends you her Christmas wish list. Thank you Santa. CF

Why does my wife deserve a Santa sack? Well, none of us deserve anything outside the grace of God. “There is none who, no not one!” -Psalm 14:3. Hear that Santa?! We are all on the naughty list! But by the grace of God I have the most wonderful wife. She is kind hearted, a loving mother and a godly wife. But most of all she deserves a Santa sack because she puts up with me!!!

I would love to see my wife Suzanne receive a Santa Sack from October Afternoon. My wife not only makes cards for both of our families but also for my unit while I was deployed to Iraq, and she has also been involved in programs that send cards for Soldiers to send home to their Families. Suzanne is the type of person that can always make just the right card to brighten someone’s day.

When Christmas came last year
and Santa was a-tapping,
my wife she couldn't hear a thing,
'cause she was busy scrapping.

The kids let Santa in, and when
he started giving presents,
she came out of her scrapping den,
and looked over the contents.

From wrapping quickly quilled some toys,
the boxes turned to layouts,
and daddy's iPad got scrapping apps,
developers sure got payouts :-/

The crazy scrapping was a bit much,
made Santa's helpers groan,
and for misting Santa's sack,
she still has to atone.

This Christmas for the sake of peace,
please let her get her own.

I'm writing for my wife Julia. She loves October Afternoon since she started with Scrapbooking. Almost every day she is lost in her crafting room and comes out again with a new card, layout or minialbum in her hand and a smile on her face. So I want to see more of her smiles and that's why it would be a BIIIIIG surprise for her if she would win that Santa sack.....

My wife is one of the most wonderful people in the world. She is a GREAT mom and she gives way more than she recieves. She has awesome ideas that she gets to express on paper through scrapbooking and that is what she loves to do more than anything (outside of family things of course). I really believe she would do great if she owned her own scrapbook store but she doesn't believe her work is good enough. Winning this would let her know that she really is appreciated. I wish I would let her know just how wonderful she is more but I'm a guy and you know we're all bad at letting our wives know that life would have to cease if they were not in it. Thanks for letting me enter her in this and thanks for putting this on to make someone very happy this Christmas.

With my hours cut in half at work and with mounting medical bills for our son with special needs, my wife and I have forgone buying presents for each other all year. She loves scrapbooking and buying supplies was the first thing she cut off when the funds were low. My wife is the backbone of our family. It would be wonderful to surprise her with a Santa Sack box wrapped up underneath the tree. Thank you for the chance.

My wife, Beth loves your company and would love a Santa Sack from you. When she buys more (and more) products, instead of wondering how much all this is costing, I remind myself what she told me as to why she loves scrapbooking, it's a tangible expression of her love for her family and friends. Her father is a painter and she never felt she was artistic in any way. Scrapbooking has enabled her to find the creativity and confidence that was always within her. Her passion for scrapping is a reflection of her passion for life and her loved ones.

My wife deserves a Santa sack because... 1) She's adorable 2) She's had a tough autumn but nevertheless she concentrates on the positive things and tries to stay optimistic and doesn't complain 3) It is her birthday today 4) I love her so 5) She's a great Mum to our son 6) She's generous and always giving to others without asking anything for herself 7) She'd never believe that I would write and ask for a Santa sack for her (this Santa sack thing was pointed out to me by someone else) so this would be the perfect surprise 8) She loves October Afternoon!
