It's a new month - that means it's time for a new guest designer!! This month's designer is the fabulous Canadian scrapbooker, Laura Craigie. You may know her as LuLu around the web. She has posted several of her projects in the OA Flicker gallery... in fact, that is how we spotted her!
Where do you live? A beautiful Island on Canada's west Coast. Kids? How would you describe your style?
2 very busy little boys, and one husband.. ;)
How long have you been scrapping?
What's your favorite OA paper line?
What size do you scrapbook?
1 page or 2?
Mostly one. Although I like to insert regular photo pages into my albums too. So the pictures stay with the pages that match, then I don't feel the pressure to scrap every single picture I love :)
Do you make cards?
ALL the time :) Much more often then I do layouts.
Is your scrap area messy or neat?
What camera do you use?
What is your favorite OA stamp set?
Your favorite ink?
Staz-on, and Distress Ink.
Where do you find your inspiration?
Usually in the oddest places, like looking at my shampoo bottle label in the shower or something. I try to keep a little notebook of quotes, sketches, etc to keep my ideas safe till I can get to them. I have a horrible short term memory, and would be lost with out lists, and notebooks.
Hand journaling or computer?
Computer. My printing is terrible, and my writing even worse. But I do make sure to write my boys letters and tuck them in so they can see my writing in the future if they should be curious.
What's your favorite scrapbooking color?
What's your most-used scrapbook tool (aside from your trimmer)?
Are you a slow scrapper or a quick scrapper?
What's your favorite quote?
Give us your favorite tip...
Here are a couple recent cards by Laura...more to come throughout the month!

Would LOVE any tips you have on using the sewing machine on paper. I tried ONCE with disastrous results. Does it take certain settings? A special needle? What thickness of paper do you sew on? CAn you sew through layers?
Any help would be appreciated, because I love the look and have a machine, but just can't get the knack.
Thanks!

I was on another blog yesterday and clicked a link that took me to Laura's blog. I was blown away by the photos of her cards. The light, the fuzzy background - just amazing.
And all that before looking at her great cards. Laura, your blog is now bookmarked in my favourites!!
